Mandy teaches practical strategies to empower people to walk in freedom; challenging habits and thought patterns in an imaginative way. Adaptable, she is comfortable speaking at casual groups, community functions and professional settings. She puts her audience at ease, expressing life through everyday stories – beautifully blending professional experience with love and raw emotion.

Eating Disorders Queensland works closely with those with a lived experience to provide pathways of peer support. Amanda has been a mentor in EDQ’s Peer Mentoring Program since early 2017. As an active participant in both our Peer Mentoring Program and Speakers Program, Amanda has completed mandatory training delivered by Eating Disorders Queensland.
In the mentor role Amanda has gained experience working with a range of mentees as they navigate their journey to recovery. Amanda has demonstrated an ability to form meaningful and supportive relationships with mentees, other mentors, and the EDQ wider community.
Amanda has been, and continues to be, an active and valuable contributor to our vibrant community.
